Debbie Hadden Bath

Debbie Bath-Hadden had the distinction of being Brock Township’s first female mayor. During her political career she served three consecutive terms as a council member, then in 2010 she was elected as a Regional Councillor and Mayor in 2018. During her years on council, Bath-Hadden is credited with promoting the township’s summer day camp, its annual charity golf tournament and its first Zamboni. One of her biggest achievements was securing funding from the federal government for a community employment centre in the municipality.

Debbie was a strong community advocate and volunteer who generously offered her time in support of Girl Guides, the Sunderland & District Agricultural Society and youth sports. For numerous years she co-chaired the annual Cancer Society’s,
“Relay for Life” event, raising money to find a cure.

Hadden-Bath is remembered for a leadership style marked by her jovial nature and keen sense of humour, qualities most apparent during her emceeing of the annual children’s pet show at the fall fair.
