For more than 100 years, the Sunderland Cenotaph has commemorated the local men who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars. Recently restored through a federal grant and the generous support of the Sunderland Lions Club, the monument continues to stand as a symbol of remembrance.
The Sunderland & District Historical Society has prepared a slideshow highlighting the lives and service of each veteran honoured on the cenotaph.
